Meet New Employees

William Brown, Senior PHP Analyst, Enterprise Applications

The chess gauntlet has been thrown!

William is a proud new member of John Wilson's PHP team in Enterprise Applications. Before coming to Emory, Williams was at Cox Communications (as a PHP Analyst) and Southeastern Data Corporation (as an Automation Specialist).

William got his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Austin Peay State University ("Fly is Open, Let's Go Peay!" - Austin Peay sports reference) and a Masters of Mathematics from Tennessee State.

Born in Washington DC, William has a pair of kids. He loves playing chess and has already challenged Craig Cooper to a chess duel of divisional new hires.

Chuck Johnson, Analyst Developer Lead, R-WIT

Chuck is an avid outdoorsman.

Chuck comes to R-WIT as an Analyst Developer Lead to do OIT product development. Before that he worked for a start-up company at Georgia Tech where he primarily worked on business and product development.

Chuck is also a graduate of Georgia Tech, getting his Masters in Digital Signal Processing. His Computer Engineering undergraduate degree came from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Chuck and his family currently live in Lilburn, GA. Chuck is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying running, whitewater boating, and martial arts.

Eric Mathis, Security Analyst III, Infrastructure

Eric is well-known through his Emory Healthcare work, where he spent 15 years as a security analyst.

After 15 years in Emory Healthcare, Eric joins Infrastructure as a Security Analyst. He will be working on security middleware, which includes firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, web application firewalls, and other security measures.

A Georgia State Panther with a degree in Computer Information Systems, Eric was born in Nashville, TN.

Eric is a beer sommelier and his favorite watering hole is the Brick Store in Decatur. Eric and his wife are avid gamers and he loves wasting time with friends over a rousing game of Diablo 3.

Brian Young, Service Analyst, Enterprise Services

The Legendary Bulls: Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Young

Brian joins the ranks of the Service Desk as a service analyst. He worked as a contractor for almost a year before becoming a full-time employee. He worked as a desktop technician at the Center of Hope ministries in Atlanta before coming to Emory. Before that he was a junior network administrator for Intermedia Outdoors.

An Atlanta native, Brian is a proud graduate of Douglass High School. He received his Bachelors in Information Technology at Bauder College.

Married with three kids (ages 10, 8, and 5), Brian loves to bowl and play X-Box. His current game of choice is Ghost Recon 2. His favorite team of all time was the legendary Chicago Bulls, with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippin, and Dennis Rodman (whose hair changes color in the video game).
